While the Mini One D has proved an enjoyable car to drive, its Toyota-provided diesel engine has lacked power. This problem will be rectified from September, when the diesel unit gets a power hike to 88bhp. A similarly-powered 1.4-litre unit is to be found in certain Toyota models on sale in Ireland. All Mini prices are expected to increase by 2 per cent this autumn and the up-rated diesel is likely to carry a premium...
