Rail travellers could face further disruption in the weeks ahead as more services are expected to be cancelled, according to Irish Rail and the unions representing train drivers.

Rail travellers could face further disruption in the weeks ahead as more services are expected to be cancelled, according to Irish Rail and the unions representing train drivers.

Fourteen services, mainly on the east coast commuter line, were cancelled last Tuesday when a handful of drivers refused to work rest days or provide sick cover for colleagues.
