Mortgage holders do not need to be told that the price of money is on the way up.

The latest increase in the European Central Bank (ECB) rate is feeding through, and there are likely to be more increases on the way.

The question is how much more. While this is impossible to answer with any accuracy, there are some worrying signs that the trend in global interest rates is still upwards.
