The slowdown in the housing market has been blamed for the cutting of about a third of the workforce at a Monaghan factory.

The slowdown in the housing market has been blamed for the cutting of about a third of the workforce at a Monaghan factory.

About 20 people have lost their jobs at Kingspan Century in Monaghan town, bringing job losses at the factory to 60 since Christmas, out of a total workforce of 169. A source close to Kingspan Century said those still employed were unhappy with the uncertainty surrounding their positions.
