Francie Molloy, the senior Sinn Fein member and deputy speaker in the North’s Assembly, has described an allegation that he is a police informer as ‘‘absurd’’.

Francie Molloy, the senior Sinn Fein member and deputy speaker in the North’s Assembly, has described an allegation that he is a police informer as ‘‘absurd’’.

The allegation about Molloy, who represents Mid Ulster in the Assembly, was made under parliamentary privilege in the House of Commons by David Simpson, the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) MP.
