Transport minister Martin Cullen has asked Aer Lingus to open its check-in desks at Dublin Airport earlier to combat congestion over the busy summer period.
Cullen wrote to John Sharman, the chairman of Aer Lingus, expressing disappointment at the “disruption and congestion'‘ that he witnessed while checking-in for a flight recently. “The check-in desks must be open early enough to minimise congestion at the check-in and security areas,” said the minister.
