The Gathering director Jim Miley has emerged as one of the frontrunners for the chairmanship of Fáilte Ireland.

The Gathering director Jim Miley has emerged as one of the frontrunners for the chairmanship of Fáilte Ireland.

Current Fáilte Ireland chairman Redmond O'Donoghue's five-year tenure finishes next month and tourism industry sources have indicated that Miley is one of the favoured replacements.

A former interim chief executive of 4FM and chairman of Concern Worldwide, Miley is also a former general-secretary of Fine Gael. His role as Gathering director will expire...
