Microsoft has announced that it is to continue selling Windows XP after lukewarm customer feedback to its latest operating system, Windows Vista.

The software giant was due to have killed off sales of XP by the end of this year. But due to a mixed reception for Vista, it has decided to continue supplying XP to the market until the middle of next year.
