Microsoft to invest $130m in data centre expansion

Microsoft is to invest an additional $130 million (€98 million) to expand its Dublin data centre.

Microsoft is to invest an additional $130 million (€98 million) to expand its Dublin data centre.

The expansion will add 112,000 square feet to the facility, raising it to 415,000 square feet and creating approximately 400 construction jobs over the next 12 months, the company said. Once complete, it will employ approximately 50- 70 people to manage the needs of both the existing and expanded facility.
