Shares in Microsoft, the largest computer company in the world, could surge by as much as 30 per cent in 2005, according to international analysts.

New York and London analysts have also forecast that the shares of other companies that provide thousands of jobs in the Irish computer industry, including Intel and Hewlett Packard, will climb next year.
