Michael Cawley, former Ryanair deputy CEO is to become the next chairman of Ireland's state tourism agency, Failte Ireland.

Michael Cawley, former Ryanair deputy CEO is to become the next chairman of Ireland's state tourism agency, Failte Ireland.

Cawley worked with Ryanair for 17 years, most recently as deputy chief executive and chief operating officer.

Announcing the nomination, Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport Leo Varadkar, said: “If Michael Cawley can do for Irish tourism what he did for Ryanair, I will be a very happy Minister”.
