Ireland’s only multicultural newspaper, Metro Eireann, is going from monthly to weekly publication from September.

The newspaper, founded by former freelance journalist Chinedu Onyejelem in 2000, was one of the first publications to target Ireland’s growing ethnic communities, and features editorial in English, French and Irish.

Since it launched, a series of publications has followed, aimed at various ethnic groups, including Chinese, Polish and Latvian magazines and papers.
