German Chancellor Angela Merkel has said that the EU fiscal pact is not up for re-negotiation.

Merkel said the pact was "right" and was already being ratified, Bloomberg News reported.

She also told reporters that she would receive newly-elected French president, Francois Hollande, with "open arms" and had already spoken with him yesterday evening.
