As car manufacturers seek to have a model in every possible niche in the market, ‘crossover’ vehicles are becoming increasingly visible. The Toyota Corolla Verso or the Mercedes-Benz CLS four-door coupe are two examples.

Another area where a melding of lines is taking place is within the MPV/SUV/estate car segments. A prime example of this is the new Mercedes-Benz R-Class, recently arrived here with prices starting from €79,530.
