Minister for Justice Alan Shatter has told this newspaper that he did not hold any meetings with the Tipperary North independent TD Michael Lowry since entering government last year.

Shatter had previously declined to answer questions from Independent Newspapers regarding his alleged contact with Lowry, due to concerns about the "complex agenda" of the media group, he said this weekend.
