Meet the darling of the property sector

Commercial property has delivered its highest quarterly return since 1995, but values for retail and industrial spaces are still muted, writes Donal Buckley.

Irish commercial property out-performed other types of investments, including the stock market and the British commercial property market over the last 12 months. Key factors have been rising prices and office rents, which combined to generate a record quarterly return of 11 per cent in the last three months.
