Ryan Tubridy’s first Late Late Show overshot by some measure even the most optimistic audience expectations – at least, those from outside RTE.
The target to beat was 700,000 (the level achieved by the opening Late Late Show in 2008).
Tubridy’s show, featuring a varied line-up that ran from Brian Cowen to Joan Collins, attracted over one million (1,089,000 people) which was 278,000 more peak viewers than Kenny’s first show last season.
