Ireland should join in free speech revolution

On June 15, the Icelandic national parliament unanimously passed a resolution created by the Icelandic Modern Media Initiative, which outlined an agenda to research and draft a series of legislative bills combining the strongest free speech protection laws from around the world.

The work of drafting these laws will take at least a year, as there are at least 14 existing laws that need changing and at least four different ministries will have to be involved.
