A fresh media backlash is underway in the US following the Hurricane Katrina disaster. This time, however, the target is not George W Bush, it's the media industry itself.
Last week, the New Orleans Times-Picayune ran a lengthy article damning the inaccuracy of the reports about the problems caused by the hurricane. The article was picked up in news pieces and editorials across the US.
