Cashmere Films, a fledgling Dublin media company, is in negotiations with former US vice-president Al Gore’s cable network to produce a number of short films.

Cashmere Films, a fledgling Dublin media company, is in negotiations with former US vice-president Al Gore’s cable network to produce a number of short films.

The company was contacted by staff at the Americanbased cable network, called Current TV, looking for Irish-made short films to air, when the station launched in Britain and Ireland last month.

The service is currently available to Sky and Virgin Media subscribers.
