Meath couple win award of €793,000

A Co Meath couple who had to demolish and rebuild their partly-built home have been awarded almost €800,000 in damages and costs against the builder.

A Co Meath couple who had to demolish and rebuild their partly-built home have been awarded almost €800,000 in damages and costs against the builder.

David Clancy and Aveen Kehoe sued contractor James Nevin Senior, after he failed to pay more than €500,000 damages following an arbitration. They also sought payment of €284,918 in costs. Nevin asked the High Court for more time to appeal the award.
