A family-run meat packing plant is expected to add 180 jobs to the local workforce if a €12million state-of-the-art development is given the go ahead.

A family-run meat packing plant is expected to add 180 jobs to the local workforce if a €12million state-of-the-art development is given the go ahead.

Dunbia, one of Ireland’s leading agri-food companies, is planning to expand its existing plant at Kilbeggan in Westmeath.

The development would add 80 long-term jobs to the workforce and create 100 short-term construction jobs.
