Measures on way to add 30,000 construction jobs

The government's signal that it intends to introduce a series of measures to boost employment in the construction sector were welcomed last week by the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI) which says an extra 30,000 jobs could be created over the next four years if the sector's output expands by 30 per cent in that time.
