Donegal hotelier and developer Jim McGettigan has netted an €8 million windfall after offloading a prime site in the heart of Dubai.
McGettigan had planned to build a 22-storey serviced apartment tower named Bonnington Residence on the site, but changed his plans due to the downturn in the property market.
The site on the Dubai waterfront has now been sold at a profit of €8.1 million.
