Minister for Justice Michael McDowell has ordered a review of legislation dealing with international extremist groups, including al-Qaeda.

In a reference to the attacks on the London Underground last week and on July 7, the minister's spokeswoman confirmed this weekend that the review will “take on board recent international events'‘.
