MCD records €2m profit as sales surge

MCD, the concert promoter owned by Denis Desmond, made a profit of €2 million last year as turnover surged to €55 million.

The company's profit was up more than 140 per cent on the previous year, while turnover was up 35 per cent from €40.7 million in 2002. MCD is promoting Irish concerts by artists including Oasis, REM, Rod Stewart, Neil Diamond and Destiny's Child next year.
