McCann may buy a 50% stake in Taggart

John McCann, a low-profile property developer, is in talks to acquire a stake in Taggart Holdings, the major property development company based in the North.

Sources said that McCann would buy 50 per cent of the firm. A spokesman for Taggart said the company had ‘‘no comment to make at this stage’’. McCann and his business partner, Jim Osborne, could not be contacted for comment.
