McAuliffe invests in Irish fuel tank alarms company

Businessman Xavier McAuliffe has invested in a young Irish company that is developing alarm systems for fuel tanks, writes Ian Kehoe.

The multimillionaire founder of Spectra Photo is taking an initial 10 per cent stake in Sentinel Fuel Products, whose founders previously pitched unsuccessfully for investment on the Dragons’ Den programme on RTE. McAuliffe finalised the deal earlier this month and has joined Sentinel’s board as a non-executive director.
