Turnover at McMullan Bros, the firm behind the Maxol oil-distribution and service-station business, rose 15 per cent to almost €670 million last year. Pre-tax profits remained static at €9.4 million, while gross profits fell 14 per cent to €42.4 million, according to accounts just filed.
