More than 600 jobs look set to be saved at Masterchefs, with a new investor poised to take a stake in the contract catering firm which has been in examinership since November.

If approved by the company’s creditors, a proposed rescue package will save more than 200 full-time jobs and a further 400 part-time posts at the company.
