Pharma firm Eli Lilly was backed in Europe this week in its bid to make a generic version of French firm Sanofi's Lantus insulin. The decision by European regulators paves the way for Eli Lilly, which has operations at four Irish locations, to produce the first copycat version of the French firm's best-selling medicine.
