European stocks rose today, and are on the course for their biggest weekly increase in four years, after indictions that the US central bank is unlikely to raise interest rates in the short term

European stocks rose today, and are on the course for their biggest weekly rise in four years, after indictions that the US central bank is unlikely to raise interest rates in the short term.

The ISEQ Index of Irish shares was also up 0.65 per cent. By 10.25am, the FTSE in London was up 0.60 per cent. France’s CAC was up 0.86 per cent, while Germany’s DAX was up 0.94 per cent.
