European equities are little changed, with the benchmark index heading for its biggest weekly gain in six months as investors await a speech by US Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen for cues about the interest-rate outlook.

Yellen will speak on labour-market issues in Jackson Hole, Wyoming later today.
