In March, Cork-based cash & carry Barry's of Mallow announced plans to open a new €10 million distribution centre in its hometown.
Construction work on the 60,000 square foot chilled and frozen food distribution centre began in July, when the company announced that it had awarded €3.5 million worth of construction and fit-out contracts to Tipperary companies Semiton Builders and Purcell Refrigeration and Leitrim company Modular.
