Publican and restaurant manager Ken Dunne initially took up running because he could fit it around the unsocial hours involved in his business. Now he has turned his running into a business, Ambition Events, which will stage the first Dingle Marathon next month.

Dunne, the owner of Hi-Way bar and restaurant in Limerick, set up the sports-focused events company in March with his partner, Denise.
