Mansfield rejected €75m for half-stake in Weston

Developer Jim Mansfield has turned down a €75.6 million offer from the US firm Piedmont Hawthorne Aviation for a half-share stake in Weston Airport, which he bought in 2003.

Developer Jim Mansfield has turned down a €75.6 million offer from the US firm Piedmont Hawthorne Aviation for a half-share stake in Weston Airport, which he bought in 2003.

Piedmont Hawthorne is one of America's oldest aviation companies. It provides airframe maintenance, refurbishing and 135 charter operations.

Mansfield said Piedmount Aviation had expressed an interest in Weston before, but he believed the offer had come now because the court case between South Dublin County Council and Mansfield...
