Voters favour new laws to allow abortion by an overwhelming majority, according to the latest Sunday Business Post/Red C opinion poll.

Voters favour new laws to allow abortion by an overwhelming majority, according to the latest Sunday Business Post/Red C opinion poll.

The poll reveals 85 per cent of voters say that they favour legislating for the X case, which would allow abortion where a woman's life is in danger, including by a threat of suicide. This is the option favoured by the government and which is likely to be announced in the coming weeks.
