The Revenue Commissioners are investigating a number of major tax issues that have been uncovered in the Irish Bank Resolution Corporation (IBRC), the state-owned bank being liquidated at present.

The high-level investigation into the bank's tax affairs is multi-faceted, and is expected to lead to a significant tax settlement between the IBRC and the tax authority.
