Major boost for Independent Living centre

The Technology Research for Independent Living (TRIL) Centre in Dublin has secured €2.26 million in funding from GE Healthcare.

The Technology Research for Independent Living (TRIL) Centre in Dublin has secured €2.26 million in funding from GE Healthcare.

Under the terms of the agreement, GE Healthcare has come on board as an industry partner to TRIL, which was established in 2007 with €22.6 million in funding from existing partners Intel and IDA Ireland.

A research initiative employing 70 staff, TRIL develops design technologies that address the physical, cognitive and social consequences of ageing.
