Mahon barred from probing casino plan

The Mahon Tribunal is legally barred from investigating the relationship between Taoiseach Bertie Ahern and controversial plans for a casino development in the Phoenix Park in Dublin.

The Mahon Tribunal is legally barred from investigating the relationship between Taoiseach Bertie Ahern and controversial plans for a casino development in the Phoenix Park in Dublin.

The Sunday Business Post has established that the casino project is one of 46 items that the tribunal is not allowed to investigate, following a decision by the Supreme Court in July.
