Devro, a Scottish firm part-owned by racing tycoon John Magnier, made an operating profit of stg£9 million in the first half of the year as sales rose.

Devro, a Scottish firm part-owned by racing tycoon John Magnier, made an operating profit of stg£9 million in the first half of the year as sales rose.

The Glasgow company, which makes skins and casings for sausages, had sales of stg£75.2 million in the first six months of the year, up slightly from stg£74.6 million in the first half of last year. Magnier owns a 13.9 per cent stake, or about 22.4 million shares...
