Magentis hits market

The new generation Kia Magentis is now on sale.

22nd July, 2006

It is the first Kia to offer a diesel engine in the segment – a modern 2.0 litre unit, with 138bhp.

However, the €2,610 markup over the 143bhp 2.0 litre petrol unit may put people off purchasing the diesel unit, which performed particularly well when the car was tested in Spain in spring.

The diesel has a six-speed manual gearbox or a four-speed automatic, while the petrol has a five-speed manual gearbox.
