One issue on which Joe Macri wouldn't comment was the constructive dismissal case taken against Microsoft in the High Court by a former senior executive. Breda Pickering worked for Microsoft for 13 years, rising to the post of director of localisation, in charge of 350 people.

She made €13 million profit on stock options during her time with Microsoft, but left the firm after another person got the most senior position in localisation. Pickering sued for negligence,...
