Low take-up of household charge waiver reported

Less than half the people living on unfinished housing estates have registered for a waiver from the household charge, according to new government figures.

Less than half the people living on unfinished housing estates have registered for a waiver from the household charge, according to new government figures.

Only households in the final two development categories are eligible for the waiver, but many householders have been told they must pay the charge because their estate is not on the department's current list.
