Lough Erne, the five-star Fermanagh resort that was the setting for last year's G8 Summit, is understood to be sale agreed at substantially less than its original £10 million asking price.

The sale is due to close for the golf venue and luxury hotel within the next month to an unknown buyer, with CBRE conducting the deal on the instructions of KPMG receivers John Hansen and Stuart Irwin.
