Software firm Cape Technologies made a small loss last year as it invested heavily in research and development (R&D) and hiring staff.

Software firm Cape Technologies made a small loss last year as it invested heavily in research and development (R&D) and hiring staff.

The Dublin company, whose technology is used by mobile operators worldwide, made a pre-tax loss of just over €184,000 in the year to the end of March, according to new accounts.

Cape’s turnover for the year is not disclosed, but is understood to have been about €12 million.
