Insurance claims top €100,000 over two years

The average payout on life insurance policies was more than €100,000 over the last two years. According to research from Caledonian Life, the average payout was €101,200 and the average age of claimants was 61.

The average female claim fell short of an equivalent male claim by about €6,000. Female claimants were younger than the average claimant age, with 56 being their average age - an anomaly, given that...
