Long-term sports concussion warning

Concussion injuries in sport could strain the Irish health service according to international experts speaking in Dublin last week.

Chris Nowinski, co-founder of the Sports Legacy Institute in Boston, said head injuries sustained from sports such as rugby could lead to increased cases of Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE), a form of dementia, across Europe.
