Localised labour clauses out for road projects

The government will not be able to include localised labour provision clauses in contracts for €875 million worth of road projects.

The government will not be able to include localised labour provision clauses in contracts for the €875 million worth of road projects which were announced as part of a €2.25 billion stimulus package last week.

Two motorway projects, including a 57 kilometre stretch from Gort to Tuam in Co Galway, and the Enniscorthy and New Ross bypasses in Co Wexford, will now proceed with the aid of European Investment Bank funding.
