Livestock feed reduces cattle methane

Carlow company Richard Keenan & Co has developed a new animal feed system for the livestock industry, which it said could improve feed conversion efficiency for farmers by 20 per cent annually, reducing margins by as much as €20,000 per year.

Carlow company Richard Keenan & Co has developed a new animal feed system for the livestock industry, which it said could improve feed conversion efficiency for farmers by 20 per cent annually, reducing margins by as much as €20,000 per year.

The company launched the new €3.5 million system last week at the official opening of its new €8 million headquarters in the town of Borris in south Carlow.
